I wolud like to know how many people is involved in the automation group and to know if you have a specific budget for this type of activities.
4 persons in 2019, in this year 2020 2 persons The budget is USD 25.000 twenty-five thousand Dollar by year
Is there a risk that automation of measurement process may result in complacency or indolence as well as having metrologists that are not as competent as those who perform measurements manually?
The automation of the measurement process is a tool for metrologists, for this is well have install manual, operation manual, and support for application automation, with these elements help to metrodologist to trainer and adapter The automation of measurement process.
It's great that knowledge is shared and not left alone with institutions
It is very important to share experiences with industry labs because also industry labs are introduced to M4DT.
Dear author, thank you for this presentation. I would like to know why you teach the communication protocol RS-232 instead of USB or IEEE-488 or Ethernet. These are more used now a day. Regards,
This port is common in instrumentation in the labs, but also We have developed in other protocols like Ethernet USB and Wifi, Bluetooth among others.
Thanks Eduin. Do you know, how the participants are using the acquired knowledge in ether laboratories? Could it be interesting to know and share what developments the participants have initiated and implemented in their laboratories?
At the moment, I don´t know if the industry labs that attended the workshop use knowledge showed, but I get these questions for in the future make tracing to participant industry labs if them to apply knowledge in data acquisition. Thanks.
Thank you for sharing you experience, related with Alexis´s question, I would like to know how many laboratories/ companies attended also the impact that caused the workshop in their activities.
13 participants = 3 public organization labs, 10 private industry labs Likewise, I get these questions for in the future make tracing to participant industry labs if them to apply knowledge in data acquisition. Thanks.
Thank you for sharing this information, I would like to know what were the opinions of the participants after the workshop. Some laboratories prefer to buy automated equipment and most do not have the resources.
Rubén Gil with respect to your question, I say you, the RCM-INM made a survey of execution of workshop but this survey did not have questions about if prefer buy or develop software applications in the labs. Likewise, I get your comments to apply these questions for future measurement automation events in our NMI. Thanks.
Good presentation!
Thanks.
This is a good approach to improving the National Measurement System through automation and digitization of Metrology.
Likewise, I agree. Thanks.
Thanks Eduin for sharing your experience in knowledge transfer to industry. I hope it may also be possible to share your workshop with other NMI colleagues. It would be good to compare the different hardware/software/protocols that are being used for data acquisition. This would be helpful for making decisions in future choosing the appropriate automation system.
Siew Durga thanks for your comment, and also I hope to follow share experiences in the automation system topics for metrology.
